The Russian Centre of Science and Culture in New Delhi hosted an online literary evening dedicated to the famous Russian writer I.A. Bunin. The event was organized by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo together with the literary society "Parichai Sahitya Parishad".
Irina Kravchenko, a teacher at the Russian Language Institute of the RCSC, prepared and held a presentation about the life and work of the Nobel laureate, poet, and prose writer, in which not only biographical materials about the poet were used, but also recordings of the performance of his works (in Russian and English). Tatyana Perova, the head of the Russian Language Teachers’ Training Centre of the RCSC, read to the audience excerpts from the story “Dark Alleys” translated into English. The audience was also presented with a list of works by I.A. Bunin in translation into English, with which they can get acquainted in the library of the RCSC.
In her speech, Dr. Bhavana Shukla, a member of the literary society "Parichai Sahitya Parishad", thanked the organizers for the interesting presentation.
