The first stage of selection of candidates for the Russian Government Scholarship programme has been initiated by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in New Delhi. This procedure happens every year in accordance with the quotas allocated by the Government of the Russian Federation for India.
This year, however, due to the difficult situation caused by the global pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19, as well as the 21-day lockdown imposed by the Indian authorities to prevent the spread of the disease, it was decided to conduct an interview with candidates who passed the portfolio competition in an online interview format via Skype. First of all, applicants living in remote regions of the country, as well as candidates who are currently abroad, were invited to participate.
The Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in India will continue to work in this format until the end of the lockdown period.
