EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHS 'DOWN MEMORY LANE ' TO MARK THE 48TH ANNIVERSARY OF SIGNING THE SOVIET - INDIAN TREATY OF PEACE, FRIENDSHIP AND COOPERATION

Russian Cultural Centre in Trivandrum organised a 3-day long exhibition of photographs to mark the 48th anniversary of signing the Indo-Soviet Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Co-operation. 

More than 45 photographs were exhibited at the Roerich Art Gallery of the Centre from 09 to 12 August 2019. The photographs highlighted important milestones in the relationship between the Soviet Union and India and the Russian Federation and India.  Photographs highlighting moments of signing the Treaty, moments of New Delhi Declaration and Strategic Partnership, Cultural Diplomacy, the role of Indologists etc. attracted the visitors of the gallery. 

Mr.M.S Jayakumar, Director of Jeevan TV, who is also one of the secretaries of Indo-Russian Friendship and Cultural Society in Kerala, inaugurated the exhibition. In his address, Mr.Jayakumar said that for world peace, all nations in the world should follow the model relationship between India and Russia.                                      

The exhibition was dedicated to Ms.Sushma Swaraj, Amb. Alexander Kadakin, Amb. A.K. Damodaran and Indologist Dr.Rostislav Rybakov.
