Russian universities have come up with unique and extensive opportunities for aspiring Indian students. And this has emerged from the Workshop “Education in Russia: Your Successful Future”, organised by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in New Delhi jointly with RUSSIA.STUDY - Agency for Cooperation in Education on September 04, 2018.
The workshop comprised a presentation and master class by representatives of RUSSIA.STUDY on how to use their platform to apply for admission in Higher education institutes in Russia and presentation by representatives of leading Russian universities such as Russian State Social University (RSSU), Ural Federal University, Southern Federal University, HSE (Higher School of Economics) University and MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology) on what programmes do they offer for international students and what are the benefits of getting education from Russian institutes.
The workshop was attended by students, their parents and teaching staff of Delhi schools and universities, among them: DPS Dwarka, Greenway Modern Senior Secondary School, Dilshad Garden, Deepa Public School, Vasant Kunj and G. D. Goenka School, Paschim Vihar, Indira Ghandi National Open University, Delhi University, Amity University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Russian Language Institute of RCSC.
Ms. Tatyana Perova, Head of the Russian Language Teachers’ Training Centre, RCSC, introduced the representatives of Russian universities after underlining the objective of the workshop keeping in view the broader benefit of Indian students. She also threw light on the intensive activities undertaken by the RCSC in this regard and the encouraging response received from Indian students.
Ms. Arakhamiia Salomeia Davydovna, Manager of International Recruitment and RUSSIA.STUDY Services. In her observation projected RUSSIA.STUDY as the educational portal and a service platform, thereby underlining the positive results and perspectives.
Ms. Takigava Galina Iurevna and Ms. Chernikova Anna Andreevna, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Deputy Head of the Department of the Organisation and Support of Movement of RSSU Students, respectively, described the internationalisation of Russian education system and attraction of international students as also the experience of RSSU.
Mr. Fedoreev Sergei Aleksandrovich, Deputy Director of the Institute of Open Educational Technologies of Ural Federal University, through touched upon the world-class education in the heart of EURASIA, that is steadily becoming one of the premier destinations for international students.
Ms. Nezhimova Ekaterina Sergeevna, Specialist of SFedU (Southern Federal University) for Methodological Work, pinpointed the attraction of foreign citizens to study at the SFedU as well as the collaboration of experience between SFedU and Agency for Cooperation in Education.
Mr. Abhinav Sharma, Student of HSE (Higher School of Economics) University, which was selected to represent it in India, described educational and career opportunities for Indian students in one of the Russia’s most prestigious universities.
Mr. Baryshev Albert Alekseevich, Senior Specialist of the Department of International Students Work of MIPT made a clarion call for students to go for knowledge with the MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology), and talked about English taught programmes that are offered by university to international students.
After the former presentations, there was a lively question-answer session which demonstrated the keen interest shown by the Indian students in Russian higher education as well as the cordial and warm stance of the Russian university representatives, truly symbolic of the existing strong, smooth and stable bilateral relations in the field of culture between India and Russia.
As a part of the programme of their visit to India Russian delegation will visit Manav Rachna university in Delhi on 5th of October and then will travel to Mumbai to organize the workshop there.
