CONCERT BY “PYATERO” BAND FROM RUSSIA OVERWHELMS DELHI AUDIENCE

A strikingly brilliant concert, presented by the “Pyatero” Band from Russia at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in New Delhi, thrilled and excited the audience.  The beautiful programme, organised by the RCSC jointly with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India, was aimed at marking the National Day of Russia.

A large gathering comprising music-lovers, students, senior diplomats from Delhi-based foreign missions, academics, educationists, Russian compatriots, media people and others, enjoyed the beautiful evening offered by the RCSC on the graceful occasion.

The “Pyatero” group consisted of five bright, skilful and competent soloists, the voices of whom covered all the music pallets, from exciting basses to the breath-taking tenors. They mixed different vocal tinges, in its wake creating soothingly wonderful musical masterpieces.

In great enthusiasm, the audience virtually enjoyed the well-known Soviet and Russian songs, pop and rocking smash hits of all times that touched their very hearts.

The group consisted of five young performers: Evgeny Sapelov  (tenor / beat box), Anton Ivanov (tenor), Vladislav Albanov (tenor / beat box), Pavel Kiselev (baritone), Evgeny Garanin (bass, bit box). The young, talented, stylish soloists are graduates of the Victor Popov’s Academy of the Choir Art.

 “Pyatero” band is the prize-winners of such international competitions and festivals as Acapella Moscow Spring International Competition laureate and audience award-winner, Romansiade International Young Performers Competition laureate audience award-winner, Citrus Voices International Vocal Competition winner, Terem Crossover International Competition laureate and many others.

With their performance in Delhi, India is included in the list of countries where “Pyatero” band had their performance tour. The countries where the band had already performed were Germany, France, England, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.    

After their performance, the members of the “Pyatero” band were felicitated by Mr. Fedor Rozovskiy, Director, RCSC, and Ms. Nana Mgeladze,. Counsellor, Embassy of the Russian Federation in India.
