The annual Russian language literary test “Total Dictation - 2018”and the “TruD test”, a special project for foreigners studying the Russian language, were held at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in New Delhi on April 14, 2018. Nearly 80 people, more than 40 of whom the Russian compatriots, have participated in the international campaign “Total Dictation - 2018” this year.
According to Mr. Fedor Rozovskiy, Director, RCSC, this is the fourth time that “Total Dictation” is being organised, and it was the third time when the dictation was held at the RCSC. In the Trud Test, nearly 40 students learning Russian language and teachers from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University and other higher educational institutions and schools of Delhi have taken part, he added speaking to media.
At the outset, the participants were shown a video message by the author of “Total Dictation - 2018” Russian writer Guzel Yakhina. The test for the participants was read by the Director of the Institute of Russian Language Ms. Tatyana Shipilova.
Ms. Monica Sharma, Russian language teacher from DPS Dwarka, Delhi, has participated in the test in sheer admiration and intense interest in Russian culture, language and literature.
The participants will know about the results after April 18. Those who come out successful will receive memorable diplomas on the Day of Russian Language, Literature and Culture on June 6.
More than in 1000 cities of Russia and in 75 countries across the world the participants have appeared for the test of the writer Guzel Yakhina. Famous Russian actors, journalists, officials, philologists and even robots read out the text of dictation. Over 3000 organisations have taken part in the campaign world-wide.
