The participants of the celebration included students and teachers of the leading Indian universities and the Institute of the Russian Language of the RCSC, as well as Russian compatriots living in the Indian Capital.
The programme comprised a multi-media presentation entitled “The Main Signs of the Capital of Russia”, a lecture on “Interesting Facts About Moscow”, quiz competition titled “What Do I know About Moscow”, a demonstration of the documentary film “Moscow-the Capital of Russia”, as well as performances of Indian students learning Russian language and their teachers from Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University.
During the celebration, famous songs such as “Walking the streets of Moscow”, “Ah, Arbat, My Arbat”, “Clean Ponds Boulevard”, “The Best City of the Earth” and “Moscow Nights” were sung.
The Photo Exhibition “Moscow – the Capital of the Russian Federation”, dedicated to the 870th Anniversary of the City, which included more than 30 picturesque and majestic photos of the Russian Capital.
Concluding the function, a traditional Russian tea party was held with refreshments, during which the participants continued their communication in an informal atmosphere. More than 50 people took part in the event.
