Tributes Paid to Russian Musicians at the RCSC in Trivandrum

Rich tributes were paid to Russian musicians such as Mily Bakirev, Alexander Borodin, Alexander Abramskiy and Alexander Arkhangelskiy by the Tchaikovsky Music Club at the monthly music programme at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Trivandrum on July 30, 2017.

At the colourful event, popular musician from Northern part of Kerala Mr Saji Mambarath presented a music concert before the members of the Tchaikovsky Music Club and invited audience.

Prior to the concert, Mr. Saji Mambarath dwelt upon the signal contributions of the Russian musicians.

He said: “Such Russian musicians made their country famous among the music-lovers all over the world. During the Tsar regime, music was encouraged in Russia. Musician had the opportunities to learn symphony and opera in the famous conservatories. They also had avenues to perform. During the Soviet period, and presently, the same venues like Bolshoi Theatre are available for Russian and foreign musicians”.

Musician Mr Biju Kumar presided over the function. Mr Jithin Jose, a musician from Kerala who resides in Dubai, also presented music concert. The music concerted lasted for 90 minutes.
