Visit of Students of International Blue Bell School to the RCSC in New Delhi by the programme “Window to Russia”

A group of students from the International Blue Bells School in New Delhi, accompanied by their teachers visited the Russian Centre of Science of Science and Culture (RCSC) in New Delhi on July 11, 2017 within the framework of the programme “Window to Russia”.

The group of more than 30 students and their teachers was welcomed by Ms. Tatiana Shipilova, Director, Institute of Russian Language, and Mr. Arseny Starkov, Chief Consultant, Information and Culture, RCSC.

The students and teachers got themselves acquainted with the activities of the Centre, its library, the School of Russian Classical Ballet, the Botvinnik Chess Academy, the Art School and the Roerich Museum, as well as the collection of Russian crafts.

Ms. Tatyana Shipilova enabled the children to get themselves acquainted with the conditions in which students are engaged, described the curriculum and conducted an inter-active presentation on the nature, geographical locations, culture and traditions of Russia – the largest country of the world.

A documentary about Russian Federation in English was screened to Indian students and a video about the history and current stage of Russian-Indian relations was demonstrated. The participants of the inter-active programme learned that this year the two countries celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

During their visit the guests also got acquainted with the Photo Exhibitions at the RCSC “Alexander Pushkin and His Era in the Visual Art” and “From Russia with Love”.
