Better prospects for Indian students seeking admission to higher education in Russian universities and educational institutions emerged at a Seminar organised at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in New Delhi on April 05, 2017. This was the second one of the series of such seminar, and the first one took place on February 22, 2017.
At the outset, three documentaries were screened for the benefit of students – “Discovering Russian Universities, PFU”, “Special Report on India & Russia relations”, “India-Russia Friendship forever”.
The deliberations of the Seminar “Higher Education in Russia: Perspectives for Indian Students. How to Get Russian Governmental Scholarship” received fair response from the Indian students who attended the seminar. Over 50 aspiring students right away filled up the applications and submitted.
Proper guidance and briefing were provided by Ms. Tatiana Shipilova, Director, Institute of Russian Language of the RCSC, Mr Arseny Starkov, Chief Consultant (Information & Culture), RCSC and Ms. Elena Barman, Head of RusEducation of the RCSC.
Through a multi-media presentations, Mr. Akil Mohammad, Representative of International Federation of Indo-Russian Youth Clubs and BRICS International Forum, described in detail the top-quality-free-of-cost education system in medicine, engineering, linguistics, tourism, literature, history, etc. comfortable and friendly campuses and highly demanded diplomas.
The participants of the programme received detailed information on the system of higher education in Russia, mainly focussed on the conditions of admission to the 2017-2018 academic year in the Russian educational institutions at the expense of the Federal Budget allocations in accordance with the established quota allotted for India by the Government of the Russian Federation.
The admission-seekers received information about free education in higher educational institutions as well as on the procedure for registration on the official website RUSSIA.STUDY for the selection of foreign nationals to study in the Russian Federation, and other necessary requirements for applicants.
