The Russian Center of Science and Culture (RCSC) in New Delhi is organizing the exhibition "The World of Sholokhov" from the National Sholokhov Museum-Reserve named after famous Russian writer Mikhail Sholokhov from October 18 to October 25, 2017.
The exhibition will enable the visitors to get inspired by work of Mikhail Sholokhov, the beauty of the Don Region and the treasures of the National Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. The exposition includes not only archival photographs, maps, illustrations but also the household items and personal belongings of Russian writer.
The National Sholokhov Museum-Reserve was established in 1984, aimed at perpetuating the memory of the Great Russian writer – who had many awards in the field of literature, including the Nobel Prize. The Museum retains everything connected with Sholokhov, with the history and cultural traditions of the Don Cossacks. The Museum includes 19 monuments of history and culture, 5 natural monuments and 256 monuments of archeology.
The inauguration ceremony will be held on October 18, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., at the Exhibition Hall of RCSC.
